Bruna Esposito: In Light of Facts brings together works by one of Italy’s most significant contemporary artists in her second collaboration with Magazzino Italian Art. Curated by Nicola Lucchi and presented in the Robert Olnick Pavilion, the exhibition features a substantial selection from the inconveniente series (2014) and the installation Oltremare (sotto terra vulnerabili) (2006–2011), both exhibited in the United States for the first time. On view from July 24, 2026, through February 1, 2027, the exhibition transforms the pavilion into an immersive environment where everyday materials become vehicles for poetic and critical reflection.

Working with found objects associated with migration, commerce, protection, and transit, Esposito explores themes of movement, labor, vulnerability, identity, and adaptation. Her practice draws on the legacy of the ready-made and Arte Povera while addressing the social and political realities of the present. Throughout the exhibition, light functions as an active material, transforming reflective surfaces, translucent plastics, and moving images into a dynamic landscape that invites visitors to reconsider the overlooked narratives embedded in ordinary objects.

The exhibition unfolds across two interconnected environments. On one side, works from inconveniente combine golden thermal blankets, market tables, steel bird spikes, and salvaged materials into sculptural assemblages that balance fragility and resilience. Beyond the dividing wall, the video installation Oltremare (sotto terra vulnerabili) creates a quieter, contemplative atmosphere through suspended elements, subtle sound, and slow movement, encouraging reflection on the traces of human experience carried by objects and places of passage.
