As in the forest individual trees, through complex relations, create a constant equilibrium between themselves, so in No Man’s Land the artistic installations, albeit pronouncing themselves singularly, coexist alongside each other in this “land of imagination open to all.” – Yona Friedman
No Man’s Land Foundation will present, on Saturday 31st October at 11.30 am, the permanent site-specific installation by Alberto Garutti, entitled “tutti i passi che ho fatto nella mia vita mi hanno portato qui, ora” (“all the steps I have taken in my life have led me here, now”).
The piece consists of a stone slab from Majella placed in a field, upon which is inscribed that sentence which anyone can make their own. Installed in various cities since 2004, it creates each time invisible relationships and trajectories between the different places.
The Foundation, moreover, will present two sound installations:
“Gardening with John 1.1”, 2006, by Alvin Curran, a tribute to his friend John Cage using recordings made in the artist’s New York loft and samples of his well-known laugh.
“La Voce dei Poeti” (“The Voice of the Poets”), 2006, permanent installation by Donatella Spaziani who has placed in four walnut trees an equal number of birdhouses from which ring out the voices of contemporary poets: Annelisa Alleva, Daniela Attanasio, Daniele Pieroni and Valentino Zeichen.
The event will be held with total respect for anti-COVID-19 regulations.

Come nel bosco i singoli alberi, attraverso complesse relazioni, creano un equilibrio costante tra loro, così a No Man’s Land, le installazioni artistiche, pur pronunciandosi singolarmente, coesistono le une accanto alle altre, in questa “terra di immaginazione aperta a tutti.” Yona Friedman La Fondazione No Man’s Land, sabato 31 ottobre, presenta dalle 11.30 l’installazione permanente site-specific di Alberto Garutti, dal titolo “tutti i passi che ho fatto nella mia vita mi hanno portato qui, ora”. L’opera consiste in una lastra di pietra della Majella inserita nel prato, sulla quale è incisa la frase che ognuno può far propria. Installata a partire dal 2004 in varie città, crea ogni volta relazioni e traiettorie invisibili tra i diversi luoghi. La Fondazione, inoltre, presenta due installazioni sonore: “Gardening with John 1.1”, 2006, di Alvin Curran, un omaggio dedicato all’amico John Cage utilizzando registrazioni fatte nel loft newyorkese dell’artista e campionature delle sue ben note risate. “La Voce dei Poeti”, 2006, installazione permanente di Donatella Spaziani che su quattro noci ha posizionato altrettante casette per gli uccelli, dalle quali risuonano le voci dei poeti contemporanei: Annelisa Alleva, Daniela Attanasio, Daniele Pieroni e Valentino Zeichen.
